Walk Your Way to a Healthier You

Looking to boost your health and meet new people? Join the Department of Recreation for this 6 week Walking Program and walk your way to a heathier you! We will be stepping along the paths at each of our town parks - enjoying the beautiful weather as our community wakens from its long snowy winter; fostering connectivity, inclusion and mobility while taking in some nature's best therapy.

Each path has its own style - meandering through the forest at Maple Grange Park, discovering the beautiful view along the Town Center Path or enjoying an easy stroll in the heart of the valley at our original town park.

Whether you are a power walker, a parent with a stroller or just looking to get outside and enjoy some sunshine - this program is for you!

Pick the path that suits you best or join us each day for a nice variety and get to know what each park has to offer! 

 
Kickoff is on April 1st - National Walking Day - no fooling!
When:  April 1 - May 15
Where: Monday @ Maple Grange; Town Center on Wednesday; Friday @ Veterans' Memorial Park
Time:   9:00am start and each walk will be approximately and hour.


Studies show that walking just 3 days a week can improve heart health, clear the mind and reduce stress. So, lace up your shoes, grab a bottle of water and meet us at 9:00am. Come as many days as you are able - the more you walk, the more benefits you will achieve!
