|This full-time position is available May 1, 2019. Candidate must possess a valid CTA certificate issued by State of NJ, Dept. of the Treasury (NJSA 40A: 9-148.1) and a valid NJ driver's license. Have working knowledge of tax assessing principles, practices and procedures. Versed in ad valorem tax valuation. Duties include but are not limited to maintenance of tax records; performing inspections, vectoring and valuation on all real property; interaction with the public and internal departments along with supervision of two employees. Review, defend and settle appeals. Vernon is "A Right to Farm Community" with 219 farms. The municipality is 68 square miles with 14,000+/- line items, 10,775 lines being residential. A revaluation will begin in 2019, effective 2020.
||Salary range $75,000 - $110,000 based upon experience.
