Grace Period Extended for Tax Payments and Important Information for Taxpayers
Second quarter property taxes were due May 1, 2020, however, the grace period has been extended to June 1, 2020. Due to health concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the municipal building is still closed and we are strongly urging all taxpayers to either pay their taxes online or send their payment by check or money order. We respectfully request that you avoid paying in cash, if at all possible. Checks and money orders can be either mailed to the township or dropped in our box at the end of the sidewalk on the south side of the municipal building. Those who feel they have to pay their taxes in cash, must make an appointment with the tax collector’s office. This way, someone can meet you at the front door, count the money and give you a receipt while you wait. The phone number for the tax collector’s office is 973.764.4055, ext. 2229. We thank you for your understanding in these unprecedented times.

Important Census Update
For homes that may be used part-time or seasonally by the owners...each household is expected to respond to the census, whether used part-time or full-time. If an address within our community does not respond because the owner responded at their main residence in another town, the household used part-time in our municipality will go down as a non-response, causing our overall response rate to be artificially low. Owners of part-time residences should still respond for their part-time home. View instructions for responding
