Animal Control Officer The Township of Vernon is accepting resumes for the position of Full Time Animal Control Officer effective immediately. This is a Civil Service position. The candidate will be hired provisionally pursuant to Civil Service laws. The position must possess a current and valid certificate as an Animal Control Officer from the NJ Dept of Health and Senior Services. Appointees will be required to possess a current, valid NJ driver's license to perform the essential duties of the position. After hours, on call coverage is required.
