9/11 Ceremony
Friday, September 11, 10:00 at Vernon Flats
Old Business
Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival
Went well. Participants really enjoyed it. There was positive feedback from participants.
Hiking Program
Maps of hikes are available on town website.
Turkey Trot - Thanksgiving Day
Virtual Run due to constraints. Drop off boxes for donations for Harvest House. We can have a pick up time for bags/shirts.
Holiday Market
November 21, 11-4 Cobblestone Village at Mountain Creek, the chamber of commerce will be there to help out also. 35-40 vendors. There will be a petting zoo, restroom facilities. There will be a donation box for toys for Operation Blue Elf.
Holiday Tree Lighting
Either 11/28 or first weekend of December. Maybe at Maple Grange. The DPW can make a tree of lights in the middle of the Great Lawn. There could be an opportunity for family photos with a festive background. The chamber of commerce is holding a light contest. An idea was to have everyone in town who has lights on their house all light up at the same time. Mishelle is waiting to speak with Jeanne from PAL.
New Business
Farmer’s Market - 09/12
Kelly & Mishelle will be there in the morning, Denise in the afternoon, 30 vendors
Mishelle, Stephanie & Denise met to discuss 2021 Farmer’s Market, possibly work with other entities to keep it going.
Needed for next year:
- Music
- More vendors
- Communicate early & often with vendors
- Possible tiered pricing - different rates for all dates, partial dates
Trunk or Treat
Unsure of what is happening due to the pandemic. Possible pumpkin walk. Mishelle is meeting with Jeanne from PAL to discuss
