LAND USE BOARD LIAISON REPORT
CW—A plan review of LU# 6-19-6; Christopher Newsom was conducted resulting in concerns re steep slopes, adjoining wetlands to be forwarded to the LUB. The LUB heard & extended the major land fill application that was unique in that all of the fill came from a regulated source & was certified as clean. The board asked applicant to provide evidence and deferred a conclusion.
NEW BUSINESS
We discussed Vernon Valley Investors LLC “Acme Shopping Center”—work in Town Creek buffer zone.
OLD BUSINESS
The status of the NRI update was discussed briefly. The takeaway was that a grant application to ANJEC was appropriate and necessary. ANJEC membership was paid for. Cara Brown brought details about NJ Highlands Council Interactive mapping. I stated that I wanted time to further explore the NJ Highlands mapping to see if it fit our needs.
3 Silver Spruce dumping was discussed briefly—Guilty on all counts and seeking “assets” to offset costs.
Proposals re single use plastic restrictions and garbage disposal regulations were approved and were forwarded to the town clerk—The mayor flatly stated that the plastics and garbage proposals will not be taken up this year.
