Township Forms and Applications

Alarm Registration Information- Vernon Township requires registration for each home or business within the Township utilizing a dial alarm or an alarm utilizing the services of a central alarm or alarms audible outside the premises. A registration form can be downloaded here.

Building Permit Application- To submit a building permit, one may print and complete this application.

Dog License Application- Owners must get a license for their dog once it becomes six months of age or its permanent teeth have grown in. The form needed to apply for a license is availble here.

Field Request Form- If an organization or group wishes to use any of the Township's field facilities, it may request permission for such use by completing this form.

Framing Checklist- This check list is required to be filled out by the responsible person on the job prior to a municipal framing inspection. The check list is to be given to the inspector for their framing inspection. This then becomes part of the building record.

Lot Development Plan Permit Application - Prior to the issuance of a construction permit by the Construction Official for any new structure on any undeveloped residential lot or for an addition or accessory structure larger than 500 square feet on a developed residential lot or any commercial lot not subject to Planning and Zoning approval, a permit for a Lot Development Plan (LDP) shall be applied for and issued by the Township Engineer.

Lot Development Plan Technical Permit Checklist - Vernon Township Lot Development Plan Technical Permit Checklist is to be completed by Applicant’s Engineer.

Meeting Rooms Request Form - Printable form to request use of one of the Vernon Township Municipal Building's meeting rooms.

Recreation Registration Form- In order to have their children take part in any of the Recreation Department's programs, parents must grant permission by completing this form.

Re-occupancy Inspections Required - Ordinance #01-23 requires Fire Prevention inspections for single and two family residential and all commercial re-occupancies, whether by sale or lease within the Township. The checklist application form must be completed and submitted in person to the Fire Prevention office during regular business hours. The first page of the application is the same for all applicants. Choose the appropriate second page depending on whether yours is a residential or commercial building.

Request for Access to Government Records (OPRA)- A request for access to or for a copy of Government Records should be submitted on this form which has been adopted by the Township Council for use by the Municipal Clerk as the Custodian of Records, per State requirements. (PDF)

Volunteer Application Form- The Township is always seeking residents interested in serving the community. If you are interested in being appointed to a board or commission an application form can be obtained here.

Volunteer Tuition Credit Program- Volunteers seeking a tuition credit for volunteering as a fireman or in first aid, may fill this form out, have it signed by their Chief or Captain, return to the Vernon Township Manager's office, and may then receive a letter to present to their college.
