Recycling Depot Hours
Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Wednesday 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Accepted Items
Glass bottles, tin and aluminum cans, newspapers, magazine and mixed paper, plastic milk containers and plastic soda bottles, corrugated cardboard and brown bags.

These items should be separated and placed in appropriate container at the depot. Newspapers and magazines should be prepared separately in l foot bundles and preferably tied on all 4 sides. Glass should be rinsed and separated by color: clear, amber and green. Tin and aluminum cans should be rinsed and separated with labels removed. All cardboard should be flattened and preferably tied in bundles.

Used motor oil is collected only on Saturday. Residents may bring up to 5 gallons at a time in a clean container, preferably dairy or water jugs (translucent, not clear).

Any large household items or leaves can be taken to the landfill in Lafayette, located off Route 94, near the Route 15 intersection; contact SCMUA at 973-579-6998 with questions about the landfill.
