Snow and Ice Removal Notice
Residents of Vernon Township are advised that Township
Ordinances applicable to snow and ice removal operations
will be strictly enforced this winter. These ordinances
provide that:
1. No parking shall be permitted on any street of highway
whenever snow has fallen, or whenever snow or ice removal
operations are necessary, which includes plowing, sanding/salting.
2.
No parking shall be permitted on any street or highway
between the hours of 2:00am and 6:00am from November 1,
1999 to April 1, 2000.
Any
motor vehicle parked in violation shall be subject to
a parking ticket (summons). Also, any motor vehicle parked
in violation may be towed and the owner shall pay the
costs of removal and storage before regaining possession
of the vehicle.
3.
No person shall plow, shovel, blow, or otherwise move
any snow, ice, mud, earth, stones or other materials into
any municipal road, street, ditch, gutter, storm sewer
or culvert in the township of Vernon.
Any
person violating this ordinance shall be subject to a
fine of not less than $100.00 or more than $1,000.00 and
imprisonment of not more than 90 days or both.
Your

these ordinances would be appreciated.
