Functions
and Duties
The
mission of the Vernon Township Police Department is the
maintenance of social order in the community within carefully
prescribed ethical and constitutional restrictions. This
involves: Prevention of criminality, repression of crime,
apprehension of offenders, recovery of property, regulation
of non-criminal conduct, and performance of miscellaneous
services.
