RESOLUTION #R07-269
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND TOWNSHIP CLERK TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH JERSEY CENTRAL POWER & LIGHT (JCP&L) FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, NJ desires to enter into contract with Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) for the installation of Electric Distribution Facilities utilizing a “minimum charge contract demand” to enable the minimum up-front customer contribution; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the installation is to provide power to a municipal sewer pump station and the service location will be located on Black Creek Drive, Vernon Township, Sussex County; and
WHEREAS, the location of service is in an area “designated for growth” as defined by NJAC 14:3-8.2; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, County of Sussex and State of New Jersey as follows.
1. The Mayor and Township Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to sign the contract for the installation of electric distribution facilities with JCP&L.
2. Payment for services shall be included in the yearly budget for utilities for the Township.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.

I hereby certify that the above Resolution is a true copy of the Resolution adopted by the Vernon Township Council at their regular meeting held on Monday, the 10th day of December, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Vernon Municipal Building, 21 Church Street, Vernon, New Jersey.
