RESOLUTION #R07-267

AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER FOR A COST INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000 TO FIRST PRIORITY EMERGENCY VEHICLES FOR AN EXTENDED CAB OPTION ON THE TOP MOUNT CLASS A PUMPER – MCAFEE FIRE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Township of Vernon entered into a contract with First Priority Emergency Vehicles for the purchase of a Top Mount Class A Pumper in Resolution #07-266, which contract provided for an expenditure of $485,350; and

WHEREAS, the contract provides for the purchase of a Top Mount Class A Pumper; and

WHEREAS, First Priority Emergency Vehicles has provided the cost of the change order to be $4,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works, Dave Pullis, has reviewed this change order and recommends that it be approved; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, County of Sussex and the State of New Jersey as follows:

1. A change order is hereby authorized in the total amount of a cost increase of $4,000.00 to be applied to the total contract.

2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption according to law.

CERTIFICATION

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of the resolution adopted by the Vernon Township Council at their regular meeting held on Monday, December, 2007 in the Vernon Municipal Center, 21 Church Street, Vernon, New Jersey.
