RESOLUTION #R07-265

AWARD OF BID “TOP MOUNT CLASS A PUMPER – MCAFEE FIRE DEPARTMENT”

WHEREAS, the Township Clerk, and the Director of Public Works accepted bids for “Top Mount Class A Pumper” on November 29, 2007 at 1:15 p.m.; and

WHEREAS, one bid was received; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works, in a memo dated December 4, 2007, has reviewed the bid submitted and has recommended the bid be awarded to First Priority Emergency Vehicles.; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Township Council of the Township of Vernon hereby award the bid for the “Top Mount Class A Pumper” to First Priority Emergency Vehicles. for a total amount not to exceed $485,350 and subject to the limitation of funds made available for each year in the Township’s budget and the execution of a contract between the parties; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the bidder along with the bid bond.

1. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of the resolution adopted by the Vernon Township Council at their regular meeting held on Monday, December 10, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Vernon Municipal Center, 21 Church Street, Vernon, New Jersey.
