RESOLUTION #R07-251

Authorizing the Township Council to Enter Into an Agreement with St. Clare’s Community Outreach Services for Certain Health Programs for the Year 2008

WHEREAS, the Vernon Township Health Department conducts various health screenings for township residents: and

WHEREAS, as part of these screenings, a blood sample needs to be obtained and tested for the participants at the Vernon Township Adult Health Screening, and

WHEREAS, a Thin Prep PAP smear needs to be tested as part of the Female Cancer Screening Clinic; and

WHEREAS, the Vernon Township Health Director has determined St. Clare’s Community Outreach Services will provide assistance in a cost efficient manner for the township residents.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, County of Sussex, State of New Jersey, that entry into an agreement with St. Clare’s Community Outreach Services for the above specified programs are in the best interest of the residents of the Township of Vernon and hereby authorizes the Mayor and Township Manager to sign the agreement for the specified services on behalf of the Township of Vernon.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of the resolution adopted by the Vernon Township Council at their regular meeting held on December 10, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. in the Vernon Municipal Center, 21 Church Street, Vernon, New Jersey.
