RESOLUTION #R07-205

AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE TOWNSHIP MANAGER AND TAX ASSESSOR TO REQUEST PROPOSALS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A PROPERTY REVALUATION FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF VERNON IN THE TAX YEAR OF 2009

WHEREAS,the NJ Director of the Division of Taxation and the Sussex County Board of Taxation has ordered the Township of Vernon to Revaluate all property in the municipality to be implemented in the tax year 2009; and

WHEREAS, the Township of Vernon has a need to acquire proposals to provide Tax Revaluation for the Township of Vernon in the Tax Year of 2009 pursuant to the provisions of N.J. S.A. 19:44A 20.4 and/or N.J.S.A. 19:44A 20.5;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, County of Sussex and State of New Jersey as follows:

1. Authorizing the Township Manager and Tax Assessor to request proposals to provide for a Property Revaluation for the Township of Vernon to be implemented in the tax year 2009.

2. This contact will be awarded without competitive bid as a Professional Services Contract under the provisions of NJSA 40A:11-5 (1) (a).

3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately according to law.

I hereby certify that the above Resolution is a true copy of the Resolution adopted by the Vernon Township Council at their regular meeting held on Monday September 24, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Vernon Municipal Building, 21 Church Street, Vernon, New Jersey.
