RESOLUTION #R07-163

AWARD OF BID “Maple Grange Park – Phase II”

WHEREAS, the Township Clerk and the Township Engineer accepted bids for “Maple Grange Park – Phase II” on July 17, 2007; and

WHEREAS, five bids were received; and

WHEREAS, the Township Engineer and Harold E. Pellow & Associates, Inc., in a letter dated July 18, 2007, have reviewed the bids submitted and have recommended the base bid for the “Maple Grange Park – Phase II” project to be awarded to Bob Viersma & Sons, Inc., P.O. Box 224, Allamuchy, New Jersey 07820; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Township Council of the Township of Vernon hereby awards the bid for “Maple Grange Park – Phase II” to Bob Viersma & Sons, Inc. for the total amount of $1,816,842.50; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Financial Officer has certified the availability of funds; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the bidder along with the bid bond.

This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption according to law.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of the resolution adopted by the Vernon Township Council at their regular meeting held on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Vernon Municipal Center, 21 Church Street, Vernon, New Jersey.
