RESOLUTION #R07-157

TOTAL DISABLED VETERAN

WHEREAS THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS on February 16th , 2007 awarded Govier, Gareth D. a 100% permanent and total disabled veteran: and,

WHEREAS, as of said date the law exempts said property from taxation,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Township of Vernon authorize the Tax Collector to cancel the taxes for the year 2007 in the amount of $2,373.84. Re: Block 199.07 Lot 41 C0002 Location 3 Augusta Dr. Unit 2

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Township Treasurer and Tax Collector.

THIS RESOLUTION shall take effect immediately upon adoption according to law.

I hereby certify that the above Resolution is a true copy of the Resolution adopted by the Township Council of the Township of Vernon at their Regular Meeting held on Monday July 23, 2007 at 7:30 PM in the Vernon Municipal Center.
