Easy Permits

There are several Health Department approvals or permits that can be expedited. (Some information must be provided by the applicant to allow for expedited processing.) These are as follows:

1. Replacement of septic tank or septic disposal system, if the type and size of the existing septic system is known.

2. Redrill or deepen an existing water supply well.

3. Well permits, when a new construction septic system has already been approved.

4. Well line permits.

5. Open decks, above ground pools, sheds less than 100 sq. ft.: no Health Dept. review is required.

6. Detached garage or shed, if the septic system and well location are known.

7. Finish basement, if no additional bedrooms are proposed.

8. Inground pools, if the setback to the septic tank and septic disposal system is provided and corresponds to the Health Dept. records.
