ORDINANCE #07-10
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING §142-11 OF THE VERNON TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, County of Sussex and State of New Jersey as follows.
1. The letter “A.” shall be added to the current first paragraph of §142-11.
2. A second paragraph shall be added to §142-11 as follows.
B. Notwithstanding Paragraph A, the following entities shall be exempt from the restriction set forth in Paragraph A for activities on and in municipal properties pursuant to the requirements hereafter set forth.
1. The Township of Vernon, without restriction.
2. Any bona fide charitable or non-profit organization, subject to the requirement that said organization shall submit a letter request on the organizations letterhead to the Township Council for a waiver of the restriction, which may either be granted by Resolution of the Council or declined at the sole discretion of the Council.
3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances or resolutions that are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are repealed to the extent necessary.
4. If any article, section, subsection, term or condition of this Ordinance is declared invalid or illegal for any reason, the balance of the Ordinance shall be deemed severable and shall remain in full force and effect.
5. This Ordinance shall take effect after publication and passage according to law.
NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the above Ordinance was introduced and passed on first reading at the regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, County of Sussex, State of New Jersey held in the Municipal Building on the 15th day of February, 2007, and the same came up for final passage at the regular meeting of the Township Council held on the 12th day of March, 2007, at which time, after persons interested were given the opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance, the same was passed and will be in full force and effect in the Township of Vernon according to law.
