OF VERNON
ORDINANCE #05-22
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #00-25 PUBLIC PARKS AND
RECREATION AREAS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township
of Vernon, County of Sussex and State of New Jersey as
follows:
1.
Section 4.11 (B) of Ordinance #00-25 is hereby amended
by the addition of the following language.
"Smoking
and the use of all tobacco products by any person on park
and recreation property of the Township is strictly prohibited."
2.
Section 4.3 of Ordinance #00-25 is hereby amended by the
addition of the following sentence.
"Permits
for usage of fields within the Township parks and recreation
areas shall be granted upon approval as set forth herein
and the payment of a $500.00 damage escrow to be held
in escrow by the Township. After use of the facilities
and inspection by the Township, the escrow shall be returned
less any costs for damages related to the usage of the
facilities. Damages in excess of the escrow shall be billed
to the user."
3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances or resolutions that
are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
are repealed to the extent necessary.
4.
If any article, section, subsection, term or condition
of this Ordinance is declared invalid or illegal for any
reason, the balance of the Ordinance shall be deemed severable
and shall remain in full force and effect.
5.
This Ordinance shall take effect after publication and
passage according to law.
NOTICE
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above ordinance was introduced
and passed on first reading at the Regular Meeting of
the Township Council of the Township of Vernon in the
County of Sussex, State of New Jersey held in the Municipal
Building on September 12, 2005 and the same came up for
final passage at the Regular Meeting of the Township Council
held on September 26, 2005, at which time, after persons
interested were given an opportunity to be heard concerning
said ordinance, the same was passed and will be in full
force in the Township according to law.
