OF VERNON
ORDINANCE #05-11
AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PUBLIC PROPERTY NO LONGER NEEDED
FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE LOCATED AT BLOCK 180.04 LOT 26 TO
JASON MEISNER PURSUANT TO NJSA 40A:12-13 (b) (5)
WHEREAS,
the attorney for Jason Meisner has provided the Township
of Vernon with a title search, survey and metes and bounds
description for real property located at Block 180.04
and Lot 26, Tract 2; and
WHEREAS,
said tract appears to be a gore caused at some point in
time relating to the construction of Edsall Drive; and
WHEREAS, there are two contiguous owners to said tract;
and
WHEREAS,
one owner, SES Americom, has waived any right, title or
interest in and to the suspect gore.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the
Township of Vernon, County of Sussex and State of New
Jersey as follows:
1. The Mayor and Township Clerk are hereby directed and
authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed relinquishing
any right, title or interest the Township may have in
Block 180.04 Lot 26, Tract 2 in favor of Jason Meisner
for the sum of $1.00 pursuant to NJSA 40A:12-13 (b) (5).
2.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances or resolutions that
are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
are repealed to the extent necessary.
3.
If any article, section, subsection, term or condition
of this Ordinance is declared invalid or illegal for any
reason, the balance of the Ordinance shall be deemed severable
and shall remain in full force and effect.
4.
This Ordinance shall take effect after publication and
passage according to law.
NOTICE
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above ordinance was introduced
and passed on first reading at the Regular Meeting of
the Township Council of the Township of Vernon in the
County of Sussex, State of New Jersey held in the Municipal
Building on March 28, 2005 and the same came up for final
passage at the Regular Meeting of the Township Council
held on April 25, 2005, at which time, after persons interested
were given an opportunity to be heard concerning said
ordinance, the same was passed and will be in full force
in the Township according to law.
