OF VERNON
ORDINANCE #05-01
AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT BLOCK
93 LOTS 2 AND 2.01 IN THE TOWNSHIP OF VERNON, COUNTY OF
SUSSEX, STATE OF NEW JERSEY AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT
TO PURCHASE WITH THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, DEPT. OF ENVIRON.
PROTECTION
WHEREAS, the Township Council of the Township of Vernon,
New Jersey has passed Resolution #04-148 authorizing the
Mayor and Clerk to execute the attached contract for the
sale of real property to the State of New Jersey, Department
of Environmental Protection pursuant to NJSA 40A:12-1
et seq; and
WHEREAS,
this land will be used for the public purpose of open
space by the State of New Jersey.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of Vernon,
County of Sussex and State of New Jersey as follows:
1.
The sale of Block 93 Lots 2 and 2.01 as set forth on the
deeds, which property is located in Vernon, Sussex County,
New Jersey, is approved as set forth in the Contract,
attached hereto and made a part hereof. This approval
is pursuant to NJSA 40A:12-1 et seq.
2. The real property being acquired is to be used for
the public purpose of open space by the State of New Jersey.
3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances or resolutions that
are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
are repealed to the extent necessary.
4.
If any article, section, subsection, term or condition
of this Ordinance is declared invalid or illegal for any
reason, the balance of the Ordinance shall be deemed severable
and shall remain in full force and effect.
5. This Ordinance shall take effect after publication
and passage according to law.
NOTICE
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above ordinance was introduced
and passed on first reading at the Regular Meeting of
the Township Council of the Township of Vernon in the
County of Sussex, State of New Jersey held in the Municipal
Building on January 10, 2005 and the same came up for
final passage at the Regular Meeting of the Township Council
held on January 24, 2005 at which time, after persons
interested were given an opportunity to be heard concerning
said ordinance, the same was passed and will be in full
force in the Township according to law.
