OF VERNON
ORDINANCE #04-27
Authorizing the Mayor and Township Clerk To Sign a Lease
Agreement With The Vernon Township P.A.L.
WHEREAS, the Township of Vernon wishes to utilize space
in the P.A.L. center; and
WHEREAS,
there is a continuing need for space for recreational
activities and office use which are involved in issues
relating to public purposes as set forth in NJSA 40A:12-15;
and
WHEREAS,
the Vernon Township P.A.L. has offered, for appropriate
compensation, to allow Vernon Township to lease space
in the P.A.L. center or other public facility as set forth
in the lease; and
WHEREAS,
the lease agreement is attached hereto and made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS,
the compensatory amount for the use of this facility is
not to exceed $60,000 per year for the agreement period.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the
Township of Vernon, New Jersey as follows:
1.
That the Township Council of the Township of Vernon hereby
authorizes and directs the Mayor and Township Clerk to
execute the attached lease agreement between the Township
and Vernon Township P.A.L. for use of the Vernon Township
P.A.L. center or such other location as the parties may
from time to time agree.
2.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances or resolutions that
are in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance
are repealed to the extent necessary.
3.
If any article, section, subsection, term or condition
of this Ordinance is declared invalid or illegal for any
reason, the balance of the Ordinance shall be deemed severable
and shall remain in full force and effect.
4.
This Ordinance shall take effect after publication and
passage according to law.
NOTICE
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above ordinance was introduced
and passed on first reading at the Regular Meeting of
the Township Council of the Township of Vernon in the
County of Sussex, State of New Jersey held in the Municipal
Building on September 13, 2004 and the same came up for
final passage at the Regular Meeting of the Township Council
held on September 27, 2004, at which time, after persons
interested were given an opportunity to be heard concerning
said ordinance, the same was passed and will be in full
force in the Township according to law.
