Terms: Members serve three-year terms; Alternates serve two years

Functions and Duties
The Environmental Commission exists for the purpose of protection, development, or use of natural resources, including water resources, located within the Township. It has the power to conduct research into the use and possible use of open Township land, as well as index all open areas, publicly or privately owned, including marshlands, swamps, and other wetlands. Upon approval of the Council it may acquire property in the name of the Township, by gift, purchase, grant, bequest, or lease.
