Organization

The Vernon Township Police Department, led by Police Chief Roy Wherry, consists of the administrative division and the operations division.

From the Chief

Vernon Township is the largest community in Sussex County and I take great pride in overseeing a department that serves over 25,000 residents and thousands more tourists throughout all four seasons.

Internal Affairs

The Vernon Township Police Department has a formal procedure for investigating complaints which ensures fairness and due process protection to all parties involved.
