Vernon Day 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

The Vernon Township Department of Recreation and Community Development is sponsoring a charity 5K Run and 1 mile walk to benefit the Fieldhouse family of Vernon Township on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Maple Grange Community Park.

Sign-up with your entire family and spread the word around the community! Check-in time is 7:15 a.m.; the race begins at 8:00 a.m. This event will be held rain or shine.

Register in advance for $20 and receive a free t-shirt. Register on the day of the race and pay a $25 registration fee. Registration fees will be donated to the Fieldhouse Children’s College Education Fund.

Online registration is now closed but you can still participate! Come to Maple Grange Park on race day by 7:15 a.m. to register in-person for $25 and support this great cause!

David Fieldhouse passed away on February 9, 2012 after a short illness. In his spare time, he spent time with his family and friends and enjoyed coaching and watching his sons play sports. He was a Glenwood-Pochuck Ambulance Corp. volunteer for many years. Mr. Fieldhouse is survived by his wife Alice and sons Ryan (15), Richard (13) and Christian (11) whom reside in the Lake Panorama section of Vernon Township. He also leaves behind his sisters Karen Fieldhouse of Vernon, Susan Freeland and her husband William of Frankford Township and Pamela Sheppard and her husband John of Vernon, along with several nieces and nephews.
