National Night Out August 6
Posted: July 24, 2013
On Tuesday, August 6, 2013, join the police department, civic groups and other agencies from throughout the area at Vernon’s third annual National Night Out.
The event will take place at Maple Grange Park on Maple Grange Road in Vernon from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is sponsored by Vernon Township, Vernon Township Police Department, Vernon Township MAC, Vernon PAL, Sussex County CrimeStoppers and the Vernon Coalition to be Drug Free.
The night will include free food and drinks (while supplies last), a giant double slide, fun games, a DJ and more. Bring a blanket or chair and join us for an outdoor movie under the stars—“The Sandlot”—beginning around 9:00 p.m.
National Night Out takes place in thousands of communities nationwide on the first Tuesday of each August. It’s an evening where police departments and law enforcement agencies team up with the communities they serve to pledge their commitment to each other in making their neighborhoods safe.
