Hiring Our Heroes Job Fair

A Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and military spouses will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at American Legion Post 129, 2025 Church Road in Toms River.

This free hiring event will focus specifically on quick-fill opportunities available in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Employers specializing in all aspects of building, construction, clean-up and hauling, inspection and demolition have been recruited.

The job fair is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), and the American Legion, and supported by Helmets to Hardhats, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA), the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD), the Veterans Administration and other local partners.
