Free Caregivers Conference in Sussex County

Join United Way Caregivers Coalition on Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newton Medical Center, Romano Conference Center, 175 High Street in Newton for its eighth annual conference in Sussex County. This year’s topic is “Demystifying Medicare and Medicaid: Tools to Empower You.”

This free event, exclusively for caregivers, is filled with workshops and resources that will provide critical information that can help caregivers take care of themselves while also caring for their loved ones.

Workshops:

  • The Alphabet Soup of Medicare & Medicaid, presented by Lori Baker and Terri Seibert with Sussex County Aging & Disability Resource Connection
  • Medicaid 101: What Caregivers Need to Know, presented by Andrea Capita, attorney at law with the Murray Law Firm
  • Panel Discussion: Medicare and Medicaid Q&A
  • The Validity of Caregiving instructed by Niki Brand, Life Coaching, CPC, ELI-Mp

The conference also allows opportunities for caregivers to connect with one another. A light breakfast buffet will be provided.
