United Way Caregivers Coalition Helps Caregivers in Sussex County

Posted: July 14, 2014

The United Way’s Sussex County Caregivers Coalition provides resources and support to the unpaid caregivers in the community. In Sussex County alone there are over 32,000 unpaid caregivers. A caregiver could be a parent caring for a child with a disability, a friend helping their neighbor who has mental illness or a husband caring for his wife who is aging.

Visit the United Way Caregivers Coalition website for useful tools and resources, including access to the organization’s new, comprehensive regional caregiving guide “Pathways for Caregivers.”

The coalition holds monthly meetings which are open to the public. These meetings offer education, resources, support and ideas while also helping caregivers connect with other caregivers and empathetic professionals who can share experienced advice.

Meetings will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Tri-Co Federal Credit Union, 47 Route 206 in Augusta on the following dates:

September 4, 2014
October 2, 2014
November 6, 2014
December 4, 2014
