Beautification Committee
The Vernon Township Beautification Committee was established to address ways to improve the aesthetic value of Vernon.
Economic Development Advisory Committee
The purpose of the Vernon Township Economic Development Advisory Committee is to encourage, promote and assist business growth, increase employment opportunities and improve the quality of life of Vernon Township residents while enhancing the area environment.
Environmental Commission
The purpose of the Vernon Township Environmental Commission is to provide for the protection, development or use of natural resources, including water resources, located within the township.
Greenway Action Advisory Committee
The Greenway Action Advisory Committee advises the mayor on sustainability, passive recreation and economics within the township.
Historic Preservation Commission
The Vernon Township Historic Preservation Commission was established primarily to carry out advisory, educational and informational functions that promote historic preservation in the township.
Land Use Board
The Vernon Township Land Use Board hears two different types of applications—those which are generally in compliance with the township’s land development regulations and those which are not.
Municipal Alliance Coalition
The Vernon Municipal Alliance Coalition is a community-based volunteer committee.
Board of Recreation
The Vernon Township Board of Recreation makes recommendations, reviews recreation initiatives, engages volunteers and promotes the township’s parks and recreation programs.
Senior Citizens Committee
The Vernon Township Senior Citizens Committee has been established to promote the welfare of Vernon senior citizens through social, recreation and educational programs.
Municipal Utilities Authority
The Vernon Township Municipal Utilities Authority was created specifically to oversee the day-to-day operations of the township’s sewer system.
