Turkey Trot:

Kelly has come up with a possible route, and will discuss it further at next meeting.

New Business:

Vernon Day:

The facilities for Vernon Day are Glen Meadow and Cedar Mountain schools. This year, Vernon Day will include a food truck festival to coincide with the day. A growing list of food truck vendors will be established, and they will be invited to attend. The town has said that one day permits can be issued for that day. A suggestion was made for tables and chairs for seating, and that will be researched, along with the possibility of portable bathrooms.

Winter Activity/Triathlon:

Looking for ideas for a possible winter activity day/triathlon, which could include skating, running (snow shoeing), skiing, or cross country skiing, sledding, possibly looking to partner up with town business. All ideas are welcome.

Holiday Tree Lighting:

Possible date of 12/7 or 12/9. TBD. Bonfire was a nice touch last year, and we would like to have it again. Suggestions were made to have microphones for the singers. Need help with the photo line, refreshments, set up and breakdown, all facets of the evening.

Town Calendar:

Mishelle has received a price for the calendar. She would be looking to solicit business advertising to help supplement the cost. She will find out about printing dates, and is compiling a list of events to be included. There would also be an electronic version on the town website.

Playground at the Flats:

The equipment for the playground will be delivered the first week of October. It will be built in the same area as the old playground, just smaller. The base will be mulch.

Vernon Business District Sign:

A sign welcoming people to the Vernon Business District/Town Center will be built by the high school students, and will be placed at the intersection of Route 515 and Breakneck Road.
