Call the Meeting to Order: 7:30 p.m.
Statement of Compliance
Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 23, P.L. 1975 adequate notice as defined by Section 3D, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975 has been caused to be made to the following: The New Jersey Herald, daily and Sunday, AIM and the Advertiser-News, and is posted on the bulletin board reserved for that purpose in the Vernon Municipal Center.

Minutes from April 21 approved.
The recreation board is currently down 3 members. There are 2 applications that came in via the web.
Last time done was 2002. May need to update with MGP. 2 parts—inventory needed and a new mission statement. New mission statement was done in 2009. Pat to update for inventory. Ideas please send to Pat.
Financial Disclosure Statement Discussion
Robin has done her duty so if we want to sign we can. They may not be going to enforce it. Extended deadline to August 25, 2010. Fill the Green Shed—Harry Shortway’s group will help.
This will take place during the contest between VTSD and KRHS.
Recreation Director Report
Recreation Director was not present.
KM signs—ASAP—approve up to $100 to buy signs for Vernon Days.
Petting zoo will not attend.
About 9 officially signed up for Vernon Day. About 50 more contacted. Heavy duty electrical cords needed.
Check with FD with truck.
Cones from the DPW.
June 2 meeting will be at Maple Grange Park to organize spots.
Rental of New Building
Counties in NJ contacted about rental prices. Most were $100 with limited usage to $350.00 with all the amenities.
Highland Lakes: $75.00—125.00—check out PAL rental and contact Denise Lanza—Morris County rep—parks.
Discussion on rental fee being in line with our area rentals or we will have trouble renting it out.
Don—flat fee—75-125 lights per diem. Motion to charge $75.00 for residents and $125.00 for non residents. Motion passed.
Allow building to go out to bid for daily usage. Recommend for council to do that. Before this is done (bids) if sports groups decide they want to run it—it’s theirs.
