An ordinance of the Township of Vernon in the County of Sussex, New Jersey authorizing the purchase of various equipment and repairs in, by and for the township pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:56-1 and appropriating therefore the sum of $154,000.00 and providing that such sum so appropriated shall be raised from the capital improvement fund account of the township
BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Vernon, in the County of Sussex, New Jersey, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Township of Vernon, in the County of Sussex, New Jersey (the “Township”) is hereby authorized to make the following acquisitions and repairs in, by and for the Township, including all work, materials and appurtenances necessary and suitable therefore pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:56-1.

Acquisition of purchase of new and additional vehicular equipment including, without limitation, two (2) utility vehicles for use by the Police Department of the Township and one (1) utility vehicle for use by the Building Department, together with all equipment, attachments and accessories necessary therefor or incidental thereto, all as shown on and in accordance with specifications therefor on file or to be filed in the office of the Township Clerk and hereby approved||$104,000.00|
|2. Acquisition by purchase of new and additional equipment including, without limitation, 911 Equipment Replacement for use by the Police Department of the Township together with all attachments, accessories, equipment necessary therefor or incidental thereto, all as shown on and in accordance with the plans therefor on file or to be filed in the office of the Township Clerk and hereby approved||$50,000.00|
SECTION 2. The sum of $154,000.00 is hereby appropriated to the payment of the cost of the acquisitions and repairs authorized and described in Section 1 hereof (hereinafter referred to as “purpose”) Said appropriation shall be raised from the Capital Improvement Fund account of the Township for the payment of the cost of said purpose.
SECTION 3. Said acquisitions are lawful capital items of the Township having a period of usefulness of at least five (5) years.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect at the time and in the manner provided by law.
