Mr. Sokolewicz, chair, called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Statement of Compliance
Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231 P.L., 1975, adequate notice as defined in Section 3D of Chapter 231, P.L. 1975, had been forwarded to the New Jersey Herald on January 23, 2014. Notice is also posted on the bulletin board and filed with the office of the Township Clerk.

Regular Meeting: February 19, 2014
The above minutes were reviewed and accepted by all members.
Old Business
Status of Drew/Walker Homesteads
Mr. Bates advised that Dennis Iulo wants to meet to discuss historic memorialization of the Drew farm. This meeting will occur on March 22, 2014.
Mr. Bates is awaiting a time to meet with Liz Walker regarding her farm and possible memorialization.
Ron DuPont, on March 20, 2014, indicated he would write the history of both farms.
Glenwood Historic Area
Mr. Bates will set a date with the township clerk for the presentation of the Glenwood Historic area to the town council.
The HPC members have reviewed the presentation of the Glenwood Area and are ready to present to the people of Glenwood for their approval, hopefully, sometime in May 2014.
Vernon United Methodist Church
The church has indicated an interest in memorializing the cemetery. Mr. Bates will write a letter inviting interested parties to the next HPC meeting on April 24, 2014.
New Business
Mr. Bates met with Mayor Marotta and it was decided that $1,500 was allotted to HPC for 2014.
New Members
Mr. Bates received from Richard Wetzel, councilmember, the name of Justin Annunziati (845-234-3559) as a person interested in serving on the HPC. Mr. Sokolewicz will follow up with him.
Wayne McCabe from Newton, a Sussex County historian, would like to address this board. Mr. Sokolewicz will follow up with him. His number is 973-579-2525.
Hotel Tax
A discussion ensued over the “hotel tax” that is supposed to flow back into Vernon that would/can help support agro-ecological-recreational facilities. At this point, no one knows where that money is or whether it has ever been distributed.
