The purpose of the Vernon Township Economic Development Advisory Committee is to encourage, promote and assist business growth, increase employment opportunities and improve the quality of life of Vernon Township residents while enhancing the area environment. The committee consists of up to nine members, all of whom are appointed by the mayor and serve for a term of one year.

The committee holds its regularly scheduled meetings on the first and third Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held at the municipal building at 21 Church Street in Vernon. Meetings marked with an asterisk will take place at the senior center, located in the lower level of the municipal building.
Meeting notices are posted on the bulletin board at the municipal building and advertised in the New Jersey Herald.
