Department of Community Affairs
The Department of Community Affairs develops and maintains a harmonious relationship between community, business and various government and private agencies to enhance Vernon Township's quality of life. This department manages the parks, field allocation, special events, active adult community, Municipal Alliance Coalition (MAC), Senior & disabled transportation and the nutrient site.
Part of the Department of Community Affairs exists to provide and facilitate access to parks and recreation to residents of all ages. We strive to provide parks and facilities that are safe and attractive and offer recreation programs that are enjoyable and meaningful. We look forward to working with other area agencies and departments to help enhance the overall quality of life. Volunteers in the Department of Community Affairs are always welcomed. The department encourages and invites all residents to get involved. It can be for 1 hour or as many as your wish. Please email pseger@vernontwp.com to inquire how you can help Vernon Township.
